The Museum of Modern Art is an art museum in Yerevan, located at 7 Mashtots Avenue in the Kentron district. It was founded in 1972 by art historian Heinrich Igityan with the support of Yerevan's mayor Grigor Asratyan. The museum is known as one of the first contemporary art museums in the USSR and displays works by Armenian and international artists.
