TUMO Center for Creative Technologies
The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is an innovative, tuition-free educational ecosystem designed for teenagers in the digital media and technology sectors. Founded in Yerevan in 2011 by Sam and Sylva Simonian through the Simonian Educational Foundation, the center focuses on equipping youth aged 12 to 18 with highly advanced practical skills. The cutting-edge curriculum covers essential modern disciplines, including computer programming, animation, game development, graphic design, robotics, web development, photography, and filmmaking. The educational methodology relies on a proprietary digital learning platform called "TUMO Path," which seamlessly integrates self-paced learning, specialized workshops, and intensive project labs led by leading international industry professionals. TUMO's operations have achieved extensive global scaling and international validation. Beyond its core flagship hubs established in Armenia’s urban centers (Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Dilijan, Stepanakert), the institution pioneered the "TUMO Box" network, expanding educational access to rural and border communities. This Armenian educational model has transformed into a globally sought-after export franchise, with operational international branches launched in Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Tirana, Beirut, Kyiv, Lyon, Zurich, Amsterdam, Mannheim, Coimbra, and Los Angeles. In 2016, the French magazine We Tomorrow ranked TUMO as the most innovative school in the world, positioning it ahead of promine
