Shengavit Ancient Settlement

Shengavit Ancient Settlement is an archaeological site in Yerevan, located in the Shengavit district, on a hill southeast of Yerevan Lake. This settlement is attributed to the Kura-Arax culture and the Early Bronze Age. The site is known as one of the important prehistoric complexes of Armenia and as a site of multilayered excavations. It is situated in the southern part of the city, within modern Yerevan.
