David of Sassoun

The Sasuntsi Davit Statue is an equestrian monument in Yerevan depicting the hero of the Armenian national epic 'David of Sassoun'. It was installed in 1959 and is located in Sasuntsi Davit Square, in front of the city's central railway station. The monument stands in the center of a circular pool on a basalt base and is one of the city's well-known symbols.
