Mesrop Mashtots monument

The statue of Mesrop Mashtots is located in front of the Matenadaran in Yerevan, at 53 Mashtots Ave. It depicts Mashtots with his student and biographer Koryun and was installed in 1962. The composition is situated near the main building of the Matenadaran, one of the well-known symbols of the city. The site is associated with the largest repository of Armenian manuscripts and is well recognized in the center of Yerevan.
