Goght

The ancestors of Goght's residents migrated from the villages of Bayazet in 1829-1830. The population is engaged in farming, fruit growing, and animal husbandry. Near the village are the ruins of Havuts Tar Monastery, Geghard Monastery, and the Portik settlement. Geghard Monastery is considered one of the most active tourist destinations in the village.
